1. Dennis Brown to the Podium

For the fourth straight NFL Draft, each team picking in the second round will send a former player (complete list) to announce their pick. After going with an offensive lineman who debuted in the 1980s, Guy McIntyre, last year, the San Francisco 49ers have annointed a defensive lineman from the '90s, Dennis Brown, as their presenter. Brown, who recorded 24.5 sacks in his seven seasons, is a fitting choice, as he was a 49ers second-round pick, the 47th overall selection in his class. If general manager Trent Baalke holds onto both of the team's second-round selections (No. 56 and No. 61), Brown will prove to be a busy man. Of course, this is up in the air.

2. Targeting Players, Trade Partners

As the draft approaches (and the May 8 first round is right around the corner), the consistent theme of 49ers coverage is a conditional question: Will they, or won't they trade from their 11-pick collection to move up from No. 30 in the first round. We don't have the answers, but we're as intrigued as you are. As our own Taylor Price noted, it's a 50-50 shot.

>>Here are three players the 49ers could be targeting in the first round; here is one player in particular that the team is beleived to have interest in; here are four teams that trade their top picks; here is why the Baltimore Ravens might be the most logical trade partner.

3. Around the League

>>Is the running back position being devalued throughout the NFL? If so, is the 1,500-rushing-yards season going away? MMQB.com asked these questions. The 49ers, with their deep backfield, may be a part of the new norm. Yes, Frank Gore get's most touches, but he hasn't cleared the 1,500-yard single-season mark since 1,695 sophomore campaign.

>>The St. Louis Rams will work out all three Texas A&M players who are expected to be first-round draft picks: quarterback Johnny Manziel, wideout Mike Evans and offensive tackle Jake Matthews.

>>The Tennessee Titans will not pick up the fifth-year, 2015 contract option on quarterback Jake Locker, who has battled through injuries to start his career. Do the Titans draft a signal-caller next week?
