U.S. Bank 49ers Radio Network

The 49ers flagship stations include KNBR 680 and KSAN 107.7 The Bone. KNBR 680 is the undisputed sports leaders in Northern California. With its dominant 50,000-watt non-directional signal, KNBR 680 reaches all of Northern California during the day and eleven western states at night.

In addition to full game day coverage that includes a comprehensive live three-hour pre-game show each week and full post game coverage following each game broadcast, KNBR 680, KGO and KSAN 107.7 The Bone will air unprecedented week-long coverage of the 49ers from training camp through the NFL playoffs to provide the most extensive up-to-the-minute coverage in the area.

The San Francisco 49ers signed a landmark radio broadcast agreement with 910 AM ESPN Deportes. The agreement runs through the 2018 season and will provide Spanish language 49ers programming on one of the strongest signals in the Bay Area. KKSF 910 AM is a 50,000 watt station that covers the entire Bay Area and reaches deep into Northern and Central California markets like Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto and as far south as Merced. KKSF offers ESPN Deportes programming, the only 24-hour national Spanish-language sports radio network.

Ted Robinson

In 2009, Ted Robinson became the fifth play-by-play voice in the 63-year history of the organization. Robinson joins a prestigious group of announcers that have held the play by position including Bob Fouts (1946-62), Lon Simmons (1963-1980, 1987-88), Don Klein (1981-86) and Joe Starkey (1989-2008). Robinson has ties to the organization, serving as the third member of the 49ers radio broadcast team in 1983 with Don Klein and Don Heinrich. He also anchored pre/post-game coverage on 49ers radio network from 1983-86 and anchored the 49ers locker room coverage after 1985 Super Bowl victory. Robinson has strong local ties to Bay Area fans as he worked as a radio and television announcer for the San Francisco Giants for nine seasons, as the television announcer for the Oakland Athletics for three seasons, as television announcer for the Golden State Warriors and also as radio announcer for Stanford Cardinal football.


Tim Ryan

Tim Ryan enters his fourth season joining the team’s official radio broadcast as the color analyst alongside Voice of the 49ers Ted Robinson. An accomplished analyst and former NFL player, Ryan has served as the color analyst for the 49ers preseason television broadcast each of the past three seasons, and is recognized nationally for his current role as a Westwood One Radio analyst and his former roles as a NFL on FOX analyst (2002-2013) and a SiriusXM NFL Radio host (2004-2013).

 


Jesus Zarate

Jesus Zárate is a bright sports journalist who graduated from San Francisco State University with summa cum laude honors with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts with an emphasis in Sports Journalism. Zárate was born in Mexico and came to the United States when he was 8 years old. He is well versed in Mexican and international soccer. Besides soccer, Zárate also has in depth knowledge about the NFL, the 49ers and sports in general. Jesus also co-hosts the stations daily local sports program Mundo Deportivo which airs Monday-Saturday from 9a-12p. Zárate also brings all his sports passion, knowledge and enthusiasm to the 49ers Spanish broadcast providing the live play by play.


Luis Landero

Luis Landero is seasoned veteran in all aspect of Spanish TV and radio. A native of Mexico, Luis has seen first hand the explosive growth of Spanish media in the USA. Career highlights include, on-air talent, producer, engineer and extensive experience with several of the Bay Area’s professional sports teams. Luis has the keen ability to pool his wide array of broadcast skills to help him engage with the Spanish speaking football fan as color commentator for selected 49ers games. Landero also has experienced first hand what it’s like being part of a World Series broadcast and  Super Bowl  XLVII in New Orleans with the 49ers.

Gabriel Sotelo

Gabriel Andres Sotelo was born and raised in the bi-national culture of the Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico/San Diego, CA region. At a young age he discovered his passion for broadcasting and prepared to undertake it at the Autonomous University of Baja California, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. His introduction to the broadcasting world began in Tijuana on a youth-oriented program called “Nada Que Ver,” where he was able to showcase his on-air charisma and talent.   Another of his life-long passions is sports; an interest which led him to his “big break.” In 2010, he participated in a national audition for Univision, where he was selected from thousands of participants as a correspondent to the World Cup held in South Africa.   After receiving this national spotlight, he joined Entravision Communications, in San Diego in 2011, where he has been able to cover a variety of topics from human-interest stories, commercials, and sports coverage, thus proving his undeniable talent. In 2013 Gabriel was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of best sports documentary. In 2014 he moved to San Jose, California to join Telemundo Bay Area newscast as the main sports anchor for the evening news. Here he has covered important sporting events such as the 2014 World Series, NBA finals, Super Bowl L, and Copa America Centenario. In the last two years he has been nominated and has won 5 Emmys, two of which were for best anchor and reporter in 2014 and 2015. Gabriel joins the 910AM ESPN Deportes Radio broadcast team to cover selected 49ers games providing color commentary for the 2016-2017 season.
